How to use Temple Tape

Written Instructions

You will need:

  • Temple tape
  • Scissors (optional)
  • A mirror
  • Your horns!

How to wear:

  1. Begin with clean, dry skin where you want to place the horns.
  2. Cut or tear two squares of temple tape roughly the size of the bottom of the horns.
  3. Remove one side of the tape backing and place the exposed adhesive on the bottom of the horn, ignoring the screw holes.
  4. If necessary, trim off any excess tape that is sticking out past the base of the horn. You can also fold it inward, but this won’t work as well. 
  5. Before removing the second piece of backing, hold the horns up in the mirror and confirm where you want to place them.
  6. Remove the final backing and press the horns firmly onto your skin.

Tips for wearing:

  1. Always test adhesives on a small patch of skin, such as the inside of your wrist, before using.
  2. If you are intending to wear makeup, apply it after you apply the horns. The horns will stick best to skin free of oil, makeup, lotion, grease paint, and powder. If you have oily skin, using an alcohol wipe may help. 
  3. We recommend bringing a few extra pieces of tape with you when leaving the house, in case you need to reapply your horns after becoming sweaty or yanking them off with your purse strap (ask us how we know.)
